This project explored figure and ground principles to create a dynamic composition featuring the word typography integrated with the numbers 0-9. This composition plays with visual perception allowing the elements to shift between foreground and background depending on how they’re perceived. The letters and numbers were intentionally arranged so that some forms emerge boldly while others recede. Negative space became just as important as the forms themselves. Through contrast, alignment, and spatial relationships, I aimed to highlight the beauty of typographic form while engaging the visual effects of strong contrast.
