My bitmap font recreation was inspired by the elegance of serif fonts and the bold geometry of Art Deco design. I wanted to merge digital simplicity with vintage sophistication, creating a typeface that feels both structured and ornamental. Each letterform was carefully crafted within pixel constraints, balancing sharp edges with the decorative flair of classic serifs. There were difficulties with ensuring that the letters stayed within a consistent system. The Art Deco influence comes through in the symmetrical shapes, and vertical emphasis. Designing within a bitmap grid challenged me to simplify while still capturing personality.
